I have always loved art, all types of art. At times I have had thoughts of other directions in my life. Astronomy, writing, psychology, but I have always come back to visual art. I am also a true eclectic. I view style as a tool for expression and communication. It should be altered to fit the idea. The idea is always the most important.

At this time I have not exhibited more than a couple of times. It is my intention to try to get my work into a gallery. I would love to talk to anyone who might be interested. Instead I have worked as a Commercial Artist for a variety of companies. You can see my design work at www.designkerkman.com. More recently I have been involved in commercial photography, which can be seen at www.photokerkman.com. This has led me to explore photography as fine art as well, which you can find in this site.

I have no preference for style or medium. I find all of it fascinating and can't imaging confining myself just to watercolor or oil paintings, or confining myself just to photography or design. I continue to explore all of the different means to create visual images.

I hope you will enjoy these galleries and also hope you will use the contact page to drop me a line of whatever thoughts you may have.
